Dr. (Mrs.) Patience Odueme is Research Fellow at Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research anchored in Department of Horticulture, College of Plant Science and Crop Production, Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. She is a Post-Harvest Physiologist /Olericulturist.
She is a Member, Horticultural Society of Nigeria (HORTSON); Member, Organic Agriculture Professionals in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria (OAPTIN) and a Treasurer, Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners (NOAN) Ogun State Chapter.
She has published four articles with one accepted article in learned journals and six Refereed Conference Proceedings. She has attended Conferences and workshops to enrich her knowledge in her area of specialization.
Before joining the academic profession fully, she was offered full appointment as Farm officer II and assumed duty at the Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR) on the 26th March, 2012. Her appointment was confirmed on 26th March, 2014. She got promoted to the post of Senior Agricultural Officer in year 2018.
She won the best Agricultural Officer in IFSERAR, FUNAAB in the year 2012. She got a Senate Commendation on the successful hosting of the FUNAAB Agricultural Fair held in March 2013. She also got the Vice-chancellor Commendation for the invaluable contributions towards various achievements recorded by Centre for Community-Based Farming Scheme (COBFAS) in the year 2019.
She was an Investigator of Endogenous Knowledge for Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) in South – West Nigeria from May 2022 till January 2023. She became the Contractor of Farmers Field School for Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) from October 2022 till January 2023.
