Samuel Adetutu Oguntuyo completed his undergraduate (B. Agric Animal Nutrition – 2011) and postgraduate (M. Agric – Ruminant Animal Nutrition (2016) and Ph.D – Ruminant Animal Nutrition (2024)) studies from the department of Animal Nutrition, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Samuel joined the services of FUNAAB in 2023, as an Associate Assistant (Ruminant Nutrition/Forage Science) at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE) on the UWS-FUNAAB-Ajogbe African Agricultural Knowledge Transfer Partnership (AAKTP) Grant Research Project Funded by United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI) aimed at Exploring the potentials of agricultural byproducts and crop residues in the development of low-cost nutritive livestock feeds in south-west Nigeria.
His research interest includes creating sustainable feeding programmes for cattle production in Nigeria through the waste to wealth model to curtail farmers and herders’ conflicts, mineral nutrition, and the use of phytogenic additives to manipulate the rumen environment.
