I am a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria. As an emerging environmental scientist and researcher, my primary interests include sustainable environmental management, waste resource recovery, and the development of innovative solutions to contemporary environmental challenges.
My research encompasses solid waste management, organic waste characterization and valorization, anaerobic digestion, biogas production and purification, renewable energy, agricultural waste management, environmental pollution, and environmental health risk assessment. I focus on converting agricultural and organic wastes into valuable resources using waste-to-energy technologies, with particular emphasis on enhancing biogas yield and quality and promoting the use of digestate as a liquid fertilizer.
My background and practical experience in agriculture have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the environmental challenges related to the generation and disposal of agricultural wastes. This experience informs my research on advancing circular economy approaches that convert waste into energy and other valuable products, thereby reducing environmental pollution.
As an academic, I am dedicated to teaching, research, mentorship, and community engagement. I aim to equip students with scientific knowledge and practical skills necessary to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development. My academic objective is to advance environmental sustainability through interdisciplinary research, innovative waste management practices, and evidence-based environmental policies.
I am expanding my research portfolio with the overarching goal of contributing to clean energy generation, sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and the improvement of public and ecosystem health.
