Olaniyi Mathew OLAYIWOLA is a Professor in the Department of Statistics, College of Physical Sciences, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is an Alumnus of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and University of Ilorin. He obtained National Diploma (ND) in Statistics in 1995, Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics in 1998, Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics in 2002, Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2006, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Statistics in 2010 from University of Ilorin and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Statistics from the University of Ibadan in 2005. He obtained Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Statistics at the University of Ibadan Nigeria in 2011. Prof. Olaniyi Mathew OLAYIWOLA was born in Ilora, Oyo, Oyo State on October 3, 1976, and hails from Ilora , Oyo, in Oyo state, Nigeria. He rose through the ladder of academic process as Assistant Lecturer (Statistics) in 2007 to his present position as a professor. As an erudite scholar, he has a great wealth of research experience which culminated into several academic publications. Dr. Olayiwola has supervised more than twenty (20) postgraduate students to completion while five (5) others are at various stages of completion. He is a reliable and diligent staff. He has served creditably well in various capacities, including as member of the College Committee on Results (COCER) and ADMICO. Prof. Olayiwola was the Head of the Department of Statistics from 2019 -2023. He is hardworking, meticulous and committed to his duty. He has attended many local and international conferences and workshops. He belongs to many Professional bodies including the Science Council, United Kingdom (as Chartered Scientist), the Royal Statistical Society, United Kingdom (as Chartered Statistician), International Association of Survey Statisticians (as a member), International Association for Official Statistics (as a member) and member Nigerian Statistical Association. He received Royal Statistical Society’s 2020 Mardia award for Covid-19 response in Nigeria and many others for promoting Statistical knowledge. Professor O. M.
