Oluboba Oluwole Olubunmi was born in Ikole, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He attended elementary and secondary schools in Ikole and Oye, Ekiti State. His tertiary education was at the University of Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) and the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering, respectively. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria.
Presently, Oluboba is an Assistant Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), Abeokuta, Nigeria.
