Professor OLUWALANA Elizabeth Olufunmilayo Ayokunumi (Nee Sorinmade) is an accomplished Agricultural and Resource Economist renowned for her academic and research pursuits. An Extension Fellow at the Agricultural Media Resources and Extension Centre (AMREC) and anchored to the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, her research delves into the Potential of Natural Resource Utilization, Entrepreneurship Skills Development, and Waste-to-Wealth Initiatives. In 2018, she was appointed Pioneer Deputy Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria. She holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Agricultural Economics, M. Sc. in Banking and Finance from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and Ph.D. Forestry Economics and Management from FUNAAB. Whilst at AMREC, she was Programme Leader (Gender issues and Youth Development) for so many years. During her tenure, she established projects to train FUNAAB Students, Staff and the Public, in innovation and entrepreneurial skills in collaboration with GIZ, Wadiwani Foundation and FADAMA Guy, Ogun State Agricultural Development Programme (OGADEP). She was the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer and a member of the CENTs/FUNAAB Management Team as well as an Educator in the programme of Wadhiwani Entrepreneurship Foundation, USA/India for 200-300 levels FUNAAB Students.

Before her academic career, Prof. Mrs Oluwalana had an extensive tenure in the banking sector, overseeing 26 branches and guiding over 200 agribusiness startups to success. She was recognized by the Ogun State Bankers Community for her achievements. As a university lecturer, she has been teaching for over 20 years, imparting knowledge in courses like Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Marketing, and Entrepreneurship in Agriculture. Her dedication to education is evidenced by over 48 publications and numerous accolades, including the "Entrepreneurship Promoter of the Year" by the Enterprise Promotion Academy in partnership with the International Centre for Entrepreneurship & Career Development; she also engages in lecturing, research and extension services to FUNAAB youths, women, farmers members of staff and the public.

Prof. Elizabeth Oluwalana is a fellow of many Professional Association such as the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD); Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship (ICEnt); Institute of Agribusiness Management, Nigeria (IAMN), Fellow Chartered Institute of Administrators (FCIA), Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC); Certified Management Consultants (CMC); Honorary Senior Member Charted Institute of Bankers (CIBN) and Professional Manager, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).

Together with her husband, Professor Samuel Oluwalana, has patented several value-added products such as a honey-based herbal soap, shea butter balm, and UNAAB-Twin Beehive which produces more honey than the Kenya Top Bar Beehive. The couple has also introduced over ten other herbal products, which have garnered recognition both locally and internationally. A majority of users have attested to the effectiveness of these products, which include ingredients like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Prof. Mrs Oluwalana had equally exhibited her Value- added herbal products with an award given to her, her husband and FUNAAB in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and San Fransisco among others. Beyond her professional life, she has also been actively involved in her community as Vice-Chairman for a decade and is blessed with children and grandchildren in her marriage to Professor Samuel Adeniran Oluwalana.
