Mr Omisope Babajide (PhD in view) is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Botany at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. Ed. in Biological Science Education and an M.Sc. in Botany from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Botany at the same university. His academic and research interests centre on Plant Physiology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Tissue Culture, in vitro germination, phytopriming, chemical mutagenesis and polyploidy induction in crops. His research experience includes studies on Afzelia africana, phytopriming of Hass avocado, and the physiological effects of colchicine-induced polyploidy in selected underutilized legumes. He has experience in teaching, project supervision both on farm field and labouratory, statistical data analysis, Septic and aseptic plant tissue culture, botanical garden management, plant propagation and nursery operations
