Olalekan Matthew Oose (Ph.D.) is a Collective Leadership Specialist and an Organizational Development Communication/Administrator by training. He is a teacher, a researcher, and a workshop facilitator Consultant. He has worked on several developmental projects and his interests and strengths are designing impactful multistakeholder collaboration, collaboration analysis, public/private dialogue, employment promotions, and technology dissemination. He holds a Bachelor's in Agriculture; a Master’s degree and a PhD degree in Agricultural Communication and Extension from the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. His TETFund-IBR Sponsored PhD project identified fisheries information needs, developed and deployed fisheries-based information to artisanal fishers in coastal fishing communities in Southwest, Nigeria under the supervision of Professor T.O.A. Banmeke. He has an interest in multidisciplinary research, ability to identify developmental and sustainable research gaps, design quality research, teaching, and supervision both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a Principal Investigator of the 2022 merged TETFund-IBR Grants and a member of a completed TETFund-NRF grant.
Dr. Oose has published many research articles on organizational development communication, organizational dynamics, collective leadership, and workplace conflict in both local and international learned journals to his credit. He has also attended many conferences and training programmes. He has carried out a series of research works, some of which include, organizational citizenship behaviour and job performance of agro-faculties, utilization of Google apps among employees, mobile-based apps on job commitment, communication strategies as a mediator between conflict-handling behaviour and workplace commitments, relationship between workplace conflict and task performance, workplace digital skills and training needs among others. He is a resource person for the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) a German Development Cooperation and has contributed to several workshops and stakeholder meetings such as; public-private sector roundtable sessions towards the establishment of a public-private dialogue platform, TOTC on the use of the modular approach for capacity building for entrepreneurs and MSMEs, the art of process facilitation; convening stakeholder conversations for consensus building, the art of leading collectively workshop to implement Skills Development for Youth Employment programme in Nigeria, the art of stakeholders collaboration among others.
He has held several positions in the department, university, and outside the university such as Coordinator, SIWES Programme; Part-Time Coordinator; COLAMRUD Representative in the College of Management Sciences (COLMAS); the Head, Career Services and Linkages Unit; Leader, SDG 10 Team; Board Member, Employability Committee; Sub-Editor, Farm Management Conference; Member LOC, ADAN Conference; Member Technical Working Group (TWG) Agriculture and Education (Ogun State and GIZ) from 2019 to date. He is a member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON) and, Rural Sociological Society of Nigeria.
