Dr. Saheed Adesunkanmi Oyede is a Lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurial Studies, College of Entrepreneurial and Development Studies, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with a research concentration in Enterprise Risk Management, Business Administration and Insurance. He also holds an M.Sc. in Risk Management and Insurance and a B.Sc. in Insurance from the University of Lagos. Dr. Oyede has over 10 years of combined academic and professional experience, with expertise spanning entrepreneurship, enterprise risk management, insurance, governance, compliance, underwriting, claims management, business development and financial sustainability. He previously served as a Lecturer in the Department of Insurance at the University of Jos before transferring his service to FUNAAB in May, 2026. He has contributed to academic scholarship through research, teaching, professional training and scholarly publications. He also serves as Journal Secretary of the International Journal of Insurance, Risk and Management Sciences, contributing to the coordination and development of scholarly work in insurance, risk management and related disciplines. Dr. Oyede's research interests include entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems, enterprise risk management, insurance innovation, insurance penetration, financial sustainability, corporate governance, business strategy, organisational behaviour and business development. He is particularly interested in the intersection of entrepreneurship, risk management and sustainable enterprise development in emerging economies. Dr. Oyede is committed to teaching, research, community engagement and professional development, with a strong interest in contributing to entrepreneurship education, risk management scholarship and the development of sustainable businesses and institutions in Nigeria and beyond.
