Professor. Olalekan Oyekunle is a Professor of Agricultural Communication and Media
Resources Production at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria.
He holds a B. Agric. (Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology), M. Agric and Ph.D in
Agricultural Communication, Postgraduate Diplomas in Mass Communication and a
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). His research focus or interest is on innovative use
of Media Resources for the facilitation of Agro-information flow between researchers and small
holder farmers for improved productivity, as well as translation of agricultural research findings
into Agricultural Media Materials with main emphasis on video, audio, printed materials and
other multimedia tools for the dissemination of information to all stakeholders in agriculture. He
is a reputable Academic who actively carries out Teaching, Research and Extension/Community
Development Services.
As a member of the University Radio Management Board, Professor. Oyekunle coordinates and
produces Farm Broadcasts on Radio to support field level Agricultural Extension Services in
Southwest Nigeria. He is proficient in the use of Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) tools.
He is an active member of Professional Associations including Agricultural Extension Society of
Nigeria (AESON), Rural Sociological Society of Nigeria (RuSAN), Farm Management
Association of Nigeria (FAMAN) and the National Research and Development Network of
Youth in Agriculture Programme (CYIAP). He has over 50 Publications in reputable
