Rufai, Munirat Olaide (Nee Abatan) is a Lecturer II in the Department of Animal Production and Health at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She is a budding researcher in animal production, health, behaviour, and welfare. Her research experience spans broiler chickens, laying hens, and rabbits, with a focus on sustainable production and welfare-friendly practices. She completed both Bachelor’s (First Class Honours) and Master’s degrees (Distinction) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Her undergraduate project examined the effect of two light sources on the behaviour of broiler chickens at the starter phase, while her Master’s research investigated the responses of broiler chickens to apple cider vinegar administration as an antibiotic alternative. She teaches the Introductory Animal Behaviour and Welfare course to undergraduate students. Outside academia, she enjoys travelling and shopping.
