Short Profile

Adebayo Musediku Shittu is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He is the immediate past Deputy Dean of the Postgraduate School, and a Member of Senate of the University. Degrees earned include Bachelor of Agriculture in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management from Ogun State University (Now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago-Iwoye (1992), MSc Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria (1995), and PhD Agricultural Economics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria (2008). Research interests include applied microeconomic analysis, environment and natural resource economics, efficiency and productivity analysis, and development economics. He has to his credit over 30 articles published in local and international journals. He is a member of International Association of Agricultural Economists, Agricultural and Applied Economics Association, Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, Northeastern Agricultural and Resource Economics Association, and Farm Management Association of Nigeria. He has mentored over 100 undergraduate & postgraduate students, and currently supervises three (3) PhD, eight (8) M.Agric and five (5) B.Agric research projects, while also functioning as a Part-time Consultant to Lagos State Fadama III Project Coordinating Office, among others.
