Mr. Soretire Temitope O. holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science with Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University,  Ile-Ife, (OAU-Ife) obtained in 1996. He further pursued his education and completed an M.Sc. in Computer Science in 2018 at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)..

His professional journey began with an intense immersion in Nigeria's rapidly evolving ICT landscape around the turn of the millennium. Over the first eleven years of his career, he gained extensive experience as an early adopter and promoter of the benefits and applications of Computers. During this period, he authored several training manuals and published a book titled “Introduction to Computing – Practical Computing Series.” His expertise in the field led him to consult for numerous professionals and organizations, addressing a wide range of ICT-related needs.

Mr. Soretire played a significant role in establishing the IT Unit at Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, during his brief tenure as one of the pioneer staff between 2007 and 2008. Since 2009, Mr. Soretire has been an integral part of the ICT Resource Centre (ICTREC) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB). Starting as a Senior Web Programmer, he steadily advanced to the position of Deputy Director II. He actively contributes to the university’s development by serving on various committees, including the Admission Committees since 2010 and the Students Welfare and Hostel Management Committee (SWEHOMAC) since 2013.

In 2013, he was instrumental in the adoption and provisioning of Google Suites for Education at the university. From 2015 to 2022, Mr. Soretire led the Project Development Unit of ICTREC. During this time, he played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and facilitating the university's e-Learning model in response to the disruption caused by the pandemic. His efforts ensured that virtual teaching and learning could continue seamlessly.

Mr. Soretire's technical expertise extends to developing and managing critical university systems. He is the lead developer of the Undergraduate Admission Portal and the Hostel Bedspace Allocation Portal. Additionally, he administers the university's remote and in-house servers, manages the FUNAAB Journal management system, and oversees the university’s websites and other applications.

His remarkable contributions have earned him consistent recognition, with over ten commendation letters and in addition, the prestigious Vice Chancellor's Productivity Award in 2014. In July 2023, Mr. Soretire was appointed as the Acting Director of ICTREC. His extensive experience and dedication to the field of ICT have made him a pivotal figure at FUNAAB, where he continues to drive innovation and excellence in ICT services.
