Mr. SORETIRE Temitope O. holds a B.Sc. (Computer Science with Economics) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1996, and later pursued an M.Sc. (Computer Science) in 2018.

Over the first 11 years of his post-qualification career, he immersed himself in the rapidly evolving ICT landscape in Nigeria, gaining a vast range of experience in the industry and becoming an early adopter and promoter of their benefits and applications. He authored training manuals and published a book titled “Introduction to Computing – Practical Computing Series”. His expertise led him to consult for numerous professionals and organizations on ICT-related matters.

Mr. SORETIRE played a significant role in the establishment of the IT Unit at Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, during his brief tenure as one of the pioneer staff.

Since 2009, he has been part of the ICT Resource Centre (ICTREC) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, starting as a Senior Web Programmer and eventually rising to the position of Deputy Director II (ICTREC). He has actively served the University in various capacities, including member of the Admission Committees since 2010 and the Students Welfare and Hostel Management Committee (SWEHOMAC) since 2013. Additionally, he served as the Head of Unit for the Project Development Unit of ICTREC from 2015 to 2022, and actively participated as Chairman or Member of several committees within ICTREC.

Mr. SORETIRE played a pivotal role in leading ICTREC's Virtual Teaching and Learning Project team, which conceptualized and facilitated the University's e-Learning model in response to the pandemic's disruption. In 2013, he facilitated the adoption and provisioning of Google Suites for Education in the University. He is also the lead developer of the Undergraduate Admission Portal and Hostel Bedspace Allocation Portal, administrator of the University's remote and in-house servers, manages FUNAAB Journal management system and oversees the University’s websites and other applications.

His remarkable contributions have been consistently recognized, earning him over ten commendation letters over the years and the prestigious Vice Chancellor's Productivity Award in 2014.

Mr. Soretire was appointed the Acting Director of ICTREC in July 2023.
