Professor Adewale Oladele TALABI is a Professor of Veterinary Medicine who has broad hands-on practical experience in areas of Agriculture, Education, Animal Health and Veterinary Medicine in the course of twenty-six years of University teaching, research and extension experience in four Nigerian Universities, namely University of Ibadan, Ibadan; Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye; Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

Professor A.O. Talabi was born on 29th October, 1968 and hails from Okun-Owa, Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government of Ogun State, Nigeria.

He attended Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Ogun State, between 1980 and 1985 before he proceeded to University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State in 1986 and obtained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in 1992, 1997 and 2006 respectively. He also attended a Continuing Professional Development course in Bovine Diagnostics at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, London in July, 2011 among others.

Professor A.O. Talabi has held various administrative responsibility positions including Head of Department, Deputy Dean, Deputy Director and currently, the Director, INHURD.

His research interest is in the area of Veterinary Medicine where he has over 100 publications. He is a Veterinary Consultant to cattle and pig farms in Ogun State; Fellow, College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria; registered with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria and a Member, Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association. His hobbies include long distance driving, cattle rearing, horse racing, handling wild animals and watching soccer.
