The Team on Assessment and Verification Exercise of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Scholarship for Academic Staff (TSAS), has been scheduled to visit the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), from Wednesday, August 20 to Friday, August 22, 2025.

The exercise, organised by the Directorate of Academic Staff Training and Development (AST&D) of TETFund in collaboration with the National Universities Commission (NUC), was aimed at evaluating the readiness of selected tenable institutions for the implementation of the local component of the TSAS scheme.

According to a memo dated August 11, 2025, the Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring institutions were adequately prepared for the scholarship intervention, a key initiative of TETFund designed to strengthen academic staff capacity across Nigerian universities.

The visit to FUNAAB, expected to provide opportunities for assessment, verification, and constructive engagement with stakeholders, would further consolidate the University’s dedication to academic excellence and continuous staff development.
