The FUNAAB/ARCN/DFID/DelPHE-5 Tomato Project Team is announcing the existence of ARCN/De/PHE-5 Tomato seeds centre located within the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
A release dated November 2, 2012 and signed by the Principal Investigator of the Project, Dr. A. R. Popoola informed that the Centre has seeds of over 150 local and exotic accessions of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) with various resistance statuses to different disease conditions.
The release further added that only limited number of seeds per accession will be provided, as the norm is for recipients to multiply the seeds themselves before embarking on the research or commercial production.
