UMFB Tackles Power Failure … Commissions Solar Power System

As part of the efforts to enhance service delivery, the UNAAB Microfinance Bank Limited (UMFB) has commissioned a 12,000 Wattage Solar Panels to be Powered by 8 sets of a 200 Amps powered batteries.

Commissioning the Solar Project for the Bank, the Chairman, Board of Directors, UMFB and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako appreciated stakeholders’ noting that the acquisition of the Solar System for alternative electrification is as a result of good and honest work.

Professor Salako stated that the Bank will soar higher should it maintain excellence, noting that there is room for improvement in the nearest future.

Explaining more on the installation, the Contractor, and Head, Solar World Alternative Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, Engineer Martins Akeredolu noted that with the Solar Power System installed, Power Failure will not exist anymore in the Bank.

Engineer Akeredolu revealed that a Thunder Arrestor was also installed to protect the light supplied from the Solar from thunder storm during rainy season.

He gave a 25-year warranty on the Panels and major installations, while he said the smallest item installed with it had a 1 year warranty.
