Professor Salako also commended the company for its relentlessness in ensuring that the project was successfully concluded.

He enjoined the beneficiary farmers, drawn from Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti and Lagos
States, to ensure sound maintenance of the machines and improved productivity.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Chryss Onwuka appreciated the farmers for their perseverance and advised that they should strive to make the best use of the generous contribution by Nestle, towards improving their farming operations.

He applauded AMREC for a job-well-done and for making the University proud of such a landmark achievement. He reiterated the University’s commitment to further increase its intervention, aimed at assisting farmers, during the farming seasons.

On behalf of Nestle Nig. Plc., Mr. Bola Audu, its Public Relations Executive, expressed the Company’s gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, for his visionary leadership and cooperation towards the success of the project.

Mr. Audu, assured that Nestle Nig. Plc plans to increase the project, both in size and scope during subsequent farming seasons, hoping that such will lead to increase in output of Nigerian farmers.

Alfa Yekini Agaraolu, on behalf of the farmers, appreciated the University Management, Nestle Nig. Plc and State Agricultural Development Projects, for their continued support towards the sustenance of farming in Nigeria.
