The Management of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, has published the names of some of its students that are currently facing different levels of disciplinary actions.
In the publication, contained in the Tuesday, April 19, 2011 edition of the Punch Newspaper, some of the students were suspended, expelled or rusticated, while others were advised to withdraw from the University, on the ground of examination misconduct or poor academic performance.
According to a release signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Adeleke Adeboye, the disciplinary action which covers the 2007/2008 Session to date, revealed that three students, Akpan Udeme I. (06/0271), Ogunbowale A.A (03/1396) and Ladega A.A (03/1103) were rusticated while Adeyemi Azeez (06/1333) had been placed on indefinite suspension, with effect from December 30, 2010, for gross misconduct.
A further breakdown of the list of affected students showed that 21 were expelled, while 327 were advised by the Management to withdraw due to poor academic performance.
