Ogun State Governor-Elect, Senator Ibikunle Amosun

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, has congratulated the Governor-Elect of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, over his victory at the April Governorship polls.

The Vice-Chancellor, who felicitated with the Governor-Elect on behalf of the entire University community, said Senator Amosun’s success at the poll “was not accidental but pre-destined”, describing his emergence as well deserved, given his antecedents and life experiences.

Professor Balogun stressed that the University community therefore “identifies with you as you lead the vanguard for the restoration of human dignity through selfless and patriotic governance of the Gateway State”.

The Vice-Chancellor, while noting the peculiarity of the present phase of the nation’s democratic dispensation said, “it is our hope in the University that your calculative doggedness and pedigree as a successful entrepreneur and populist will be brought to bear in redeeming the hope of the teeming populace”, therefore charging the Governor-Elect not to betray the confidence reposed in him by the people of the state.

Assuring the Governor-Elect of the unflinching cooperation of the University, Professor Balogun prayed God to fortify him with the Grace for “a renewed strength in tackling challenges and a clear vision in achieving remarkable successes” throughout his tenure of office.
