Representative of the VC, DVC Academic, Prof. Chryss Onwuka inspecting Man “O” War Guard of Honours

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and Grand War Marshal of UNAAB’s Man “O” War, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun has described discipline and forthrightness as the bedrock of success.

Prof. Balogun asserted this at the 17th Passing-out Parade of the Man “O” War Club, UNAAB held on the open lawn of the University’s Campus.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Chryss Onwuka, Prof. Balogun identified lack of discipline in the leadership and followership cadres as the bane of the nation’s socio-economic and political development.

The Vice-Chancellor who lauded UNAAB’s Man “O” War members for their disciplinary posture and selfless service to the University and the society at large , said the para-military sterling qualities were exemplary and should be emulated by all.

He therefore called on well meaning able bodied youths to join Man “O” War, declaring that “if you want to be a good leader, join Man “O” War!”.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander-in-Chief of the club, Patriot Oladipo James commended Prof. Balogun who is the Grand War Marshal, UNAAB’s Man “O” War, for creating enabling atmosphere for the paramilitary to contribute meaningfully to the development of the University.

He specifically thanked Prof. Balogun-led Management for the provision of Four Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira for the kitting of his members and installation of gadgets in the Jungle Gym.

Patriot James disclosed that the club presently has over 12 training gadgets in both Assault and Rope obstacles, which, according to him, are arguably the best across Universities.
