The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Adetokunbo Sofoluwe has expressed delight at the marvelous rate of development of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), within a short spate of time.
Prof. Sofoluwe, who was in UNAAB to present his Doctorate candidate for examination spoke during a meeting he had with top officers of the University, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Segun Lagoke, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun.
Baring his mind on his impression of UNAAB, Prof. Sofoluwe said while entering the University, he saw remarkable improvement in the structural development of the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor specifically lauded the ongoing reconstruction of the University’s Ceremonial Road which he noted would be beneficial to all stakeholders of the University.
He expressed optimism that when completed, the road project would add value to the aesthetic and infrastructural fortunes of the University.
He attributed the increasing rate of development of the University to the doggedness of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, whom he commended for his dexterity at sourcing for funds, from the Federal Government and other relevant bodies for developmental purposes.
Earlier, in his welcome speech, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Segun Lagoke commended Prof. Sofoluwe, who was accompanied by Prof. H.O.D Longe also from UNILAG, for his commitment to the growth of UNILAG and tertiary education in general.
