Former Student Union Presidents of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), under the auspices of the Coalition of Concerned Former Student Union Presidents, on December 31, 2024, paid a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde to congratulate him on his 60th Birthday Celebration.
Led by their Chairman, Comrade Taiwo Semighan, the delegation congratulated Prof. Kehinde on his milestone and lauded his transformative leadership, which has elevated FUNAAB’s academic and research reputation through strategic collaborations with local and international organisations.
Speaking during the visit, Com. Semighan expressed the Coalition’s deep appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s efforts, noting that his tenure has significantly enhanced FUNAAB’s standing in the academic community. Similarly, the Coalition’s Secretary, Com. Olawale Olajumoke (popularly known as Holla Holla), appreciated Prof. Kehinde for his contributions to social well-being, human capital development, and infrastructural growth within the University and its environs.
In his response, Prof. Kehinde thanked the group for their kind words and support. He reiterated the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the University’s goals. He also explained that he had opted for a low-key birthday celebration to focus on the ongoing efforts of his Management Team in driving FUNAAB’s progress.
As a gesture of their appreciation, the group presented a specially designed portrait to the Vice-Chancellor. Other members present during the visit included Com. Michael Oloyede (Proverbial) and Com. Meshach Nwankwo, the immediate past FUNAAB-SUG President.
