In line with the approval of the Visitor to the University and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde has adopted the newly-approved Old National Anthem for University ceremonies.
The Anthem, “Nigeria, we hail thee” was signed into law on May 29, 2024, after the Senate passed the National Anthem Bill 2024 to revert to the old National Anthem.
The Vice-Chancellor thereby enjoined all members of the University Community to familiarise themselves with the lyrics and tune of the Anthem, as well as recite it at every University event.
