In his address, the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu, called on Muslims to use Ramadan as a period of deep spiritual reflection and reconnection with Allah. He emphasised that true fasting goes beyond abstinence from food and drink, highlighting the necessity of God-consciousness and self-discipline.

Delivering the lecture, the Guest Speaker, Alhaji Qasim Alabi, stressed the significance of fasting, charity, and moral uprightness. He reminded attendees that Allah abundantly rewards those who fast with sincerity and warned against actions that could undermine their spiritual and social values.
Alhaji Alabi further advised parents to monitor their children’s online activities, stressing the need to protect moral values in today’s digital age. He encouraged Muslims to avoid social vices by staying connected to Allah’s teachings through Quranic recitation and righteous living.

Earlier, the Amir of the FUNAAB Muslim Community and host of the event, Prof. Lateef Sanni, represented by Prof. Abdul-Akeem Agboola, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for his unwavering support towards the construction of the University Mosque.
