VC Appreciates CERECOM

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde has appreciated the members of the Ceremonials Committee for their commitment, selfless service and dedication to the duties of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor gave the appreciation  while attending the CERECOM’s appraisal meeting of the recently held Matriculation Ceremony, including the upcoming 87th Inaugural Lecture.

Addressing the Committee members, Prof. Kehinde revealed that the visit would be his first appearance at the CERECOM Meeting since his 30 years of being a FUNAAB Staff.

The Vice-Chancellor appreciated all the CERECOM members for their perseverance and dedication. He noted that a lot has changed in the University, especially, with the current wave of economic transformation in the country, which, also affected many changes in the various events of the University.

Prof. Kehinde, therefore, charged members to key into the University’s mission, especially in the conduct of Academic events, which should be tailored to international best practices.

Responding to the Vice-Chancellor, the Chairman, CERECOM, Prof. Adegoke Bakare appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for taking time out to attend the meeting.

He also thanked him for carefully itemising to members, the need for adopting the necessary changes in hosting of University’s events.

The Vice-Chancellor’s visit to the CERECOM members was a charge and motivation to the Committee members for enhanced service delivery.

The visit was capped with a group photograph with members.
