The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Oyewole has commissioned four Ashok Leyland 2012 model buses to complement the University’s fleet.
The University’s Staff School got one while the other three were handed over to the Management Committee on Transport (MANCOT). During the official dedication of the buses, the Vice-Chancellor noted that the bus would ease the transportation problems facing pupils of the Staff School.
In a chat with FUNAAB Bulletin, the Head Teacher of Staff School, Mrs. Florence Bukola Alade, expressed her joy and delight the University Management’s gesture.
According to her, “We thank God for the Management and the Vice-Chancellor for coming to our aid at this crucial hour. This is the third bus that will be handed-over to the staff school. It will relieve us”.
The Head Mistress recalled that Staff School had benefited immensely from the present administration. “We have benefitted from this administration tremendously. They completed our building, they gave us three buses, not only that, they gave us laptops”, she added.
