In a move aimed at enhancing access to authentic digital technology within the University environment, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, today, May 7, 2025, commissioned a Samsung Sales Outlet on campus.

The initiative, borne out of a strategic partnership, seeks to provide members of the University Community with convenient access to genuine Samsung phones and accessories.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, at the commissioning ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor expressed delight at the development, describing it as a forward-thinking collaboration that underscores FUNAAB’s commitment to technological advancement and service delivery.

According to him, the presence of the outlet on campus would not only ensure easy access to reliable devices but also contribute to the creation of a digitally empowered learning and working environment for students and staff.

The event was graced by key members of the University, including Mr. Moses Ayanda, Deputy Registrar, Executive Affairs, Vice-Chancellor’s Office; Dr. Matthew Oose, Head, Career Services and Linkages Unit (CSLU); and Dr. Thaddeus Ariom from the Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), alongside a vibrant turnout of students from various Colleges who witnessed the occasion with enthusiasm.
