On July 24, 2024, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, inspected several key construction projects at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
These projects included the Phase II Building of the College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS), a new 100-Capacity Laboratory for the College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET), and a 120-Bed Undergraduate Hostel.
The Veterinary Laboratory Complex, designed to be completed in 24 weeks, features a Cloakroom, an office, and four general toilets.
The COLPHYS Phase II Building, expected to be completed in 40 weeks, would include a suspended floor with 24 ensuite offices, four single offices, four storage rooms, and eight general toilets.
The new 120-Bed Hostel, also slated for a 40-week completion period, would also have a suspended floor with a Porters’ reception, 32 ensuite rooms, two Power rooms, two Kitchens, two Laundry rooms, two Storage rooms, and a Common Room. The project would also include Associated External Works.
The projects aim to enhance the University’s infrastructure, providing improved facilities for students and staff.
