… As Dr. Njah Bags Fellowship Award

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun has lauded the University’s achievements in the field of ‘Electronic Chaos’.

The Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Segun Lagoke, gave this commendation while declaring open a 3-Day Workshop on Experimental Chaos in Electronic Circuits, organised by the Department of Physics.

Prof. Lagoke stated that since the introduction of research in Chaos in 2001, UNAAB had made considerable progress by graduating three Doctorate and two Masters’ Degrees students. There are nine Doctorate and two Masters’ students presently working in the field.

He noted that UNAAB had provided financial support to members of staff, to enable them attend several Conferences on Chaos, thus contributing to the internationalizing efforts of the University.

Students of the Department of Computer Science had also applied Chaos in their research, to help them achieve certain desired results, he added.

The Visiting Scientist and Guest Lecturer at the occasion, Prof. S. K. Dana lauded Nigeria in general  and UNAAB in particular for their drive towards technological advancement.

He disclosed that the opportunity given him would help open up a collaborative effort between Indian institutions and the University, in the field of Electronic Chaos.

Prof. Dana, however, used the forum to commend a lecturer in the Department of Physics, Dr. Abdullahi N. Njah for bagging Fellowship Award of the CV RAMAN International Fellowship for African Researchers.
