The Vice-Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, will be 58 on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.

The 58th birthday is unique, being the last he will be celebrating with the UNAAB family as the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

According to the Chairman of the University’s Ceremonials Committee, Professor Babatunde Idowu, Council members, senior officials, staff and students as well as other well-wishers, will converge on the Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge, by 7:00am for a short interdenominational thanksgiving service with the celebrant and members of his family.

Professor Idowu informed that the ceremony was deliberately scheduled for early morning, so as to allow the ‘Birthday Boy’ and other well-wishers from the University to attend to other pressing official tasks in their respective offices, on time.

He further informed that a customized, life-size birthday card, will be displayed on the Ground Floor of the Senate building, from Monday, for members of the University community, to express their birthday wishes on the celebrant.
