…As FUNAAB, ISN Sign MoA

In recognition of his leadership roles and interest in promoting security education, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would be conferred with the Distinguished Fellowship Award of the Institute of Security, Nigeria (ISN), on November 23, 2024, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The information was relayed by the Deputy President of the Institute, Barrister Adebayo Akinade during the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between both institutions.
Welcoming the ISN team on November 8, 2024, to the University for the signing of the MoA in collaboration with the newly-established Institute of Communication and General Studies (ICGNS), at the new Conference Room of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, the Vice-Chancellor, expressed his excitement about the partnership, noting FUNAAB’s ability to anchor the agreement between both parties.
He highlighted the need for security training within the University and commended ISN for their expertise in the field.
Prof. Kehinde emphasised FUNAAB’s commitment to excellence and integrity and assured the Institute of a fruitful relationship. He said that the University has a pool of experts who could contribute to the security training programmes.
Highlighting the Institute’s objectives and the benefits of the collaboration with FUNAAB, the Deputy President of ISN, Barrister Akinade, spoke on the professional training programmes offered by the Institute and its focus on security management and intelligence gathering.
He mentioned that the partnership would enhance the quality of security education in Nigeria and promote knowledge sharing and expertise exchange.
Barrister Akinade announced the Institute’s donation of books and journals to the Nimbe Adedipe Library as a kick-off to the partnership.
The purpose of the agreement signed was to enhance security training for students and staff of the University. The ISN is a reputable institution established and registered under the laws of Nigeria.
The ceremony was attended by key officials from both FUNAAB and the ISN.
