All is now set for the celebration of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun 57th birthday bash tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26, 2010.

The celebration which would have come up last Tuesday, October 19, was postponed due to the fact that the celebrant, was away on an official assignment, abroad.

Members of the University community, friends and well-wishers would gather at the Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge as early as 7.00am, in praise-worship, with prayer to God for the celebrant and members of his family.

The University community in appreciation of the unprecedented development initiative of the Vice-Chancellor had since last Tuesday erupted in celebration, with banners commending Professor Balogun, popularly revered as the ‘architect of modern UNAAB’, while a special interactive internet page was created on the University’s website, with the profile, photographs and video clips of the celebrant.

A giant ‘Community Card’, designed by the Birthday Planning Committee, to commemorate the event, is currently on display at the Vice-Chancellor’s Car Park at the basement of the University Senate.
