In a demonstration of his steady commitment to student welfare and academic success, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, through the generosity of his family, has provided examination support packages to indigent students of the University.

The presentation, facilitated by the Student Affairs Division, aimed to ease the financial burden on deserving students during the ongoing examination period and ensure that economic challenges do not hinder their academic performance.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Festus Adeosun, represented by the Deputy Dean, Dr. Mathew Wheto, expressed profound appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and his family for their consistent support for students’ welfare. He noted that the initiative has become a source of encouragement and relief for many students facing financial difficulties, particularly during examinations.

According to him, the gesture reflects Prof. Kehinde’s people-centred leadership style and his dedication to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

Dr. Wheto further commended the Vice-Chancellor and his family for their compassion and generosity, stressing that the support packages would go a long way in helping the beneficiaries focus on their studies and perform optimally in their examinations.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Azubike Delight, a 300-Level student of the Department of Plant Physiology and Crop Production (PPCP), expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and his family for the thoughtful intervention. He stated that the support would significantly ease the financial pressures many students face and motivate them to remain dedicated to their academic pursuits.

The beneficiaries offered prayers for the Vice-Chancellor and his family, wishing them continued good health, wisdom, success, and prosperity. They also pledged to justify the gesture through improved academic performance and exemplary conduct.
