The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole, has reiterated the University’s strive for quality and excellence.
The Vice-Chancellor restated this while receiving the Management team of the Premier Paints Plc, which paid him a courtesy call, last Tuesday.
Professor Oyewole said over the years, the University had ensured that it maintained its structures and facilities, using high quality building materials.
He advised Nigerians to imbibe a good maintenance culture, especially, when it comes to the exterior of buildings.
The Vice-Chancellor charged the delegates from the leading paint manufacturer to make available, a list of its accredited painters, to assist the University in dealing with qualified professionals.
Speaking earlier, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Premier Paints Plc, Mr. ‘Kemi Sunmola, said his organization and FUNAAB had established mutual relationship, dated several years back.
He added that the purpose of the visit was to formally congratulate the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment and to seek further patronage by the University.
Mr. Sunmola noted that his company, founded in 1984, had an array of quality paints, which the University could procure from, in enhancing the beautification of its buildings.
He promised that FUNAAB would get value for the products purchased, adding that his organization would be willing to sign an undertaking that the quality of its products supplied were of the best standard.
The Premier Paints boss commended the University for its enviable records of achievements, over the years.
