Wema Bank Begins Partnership with CENTS on Skills Training

Wema Bank, Plc in conjunction with Yaba Local Council Development Authority (LCDA), on October 6, 2021 began a partnership with the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS), in the areas of vocational skills training for its members of staff and youths of the LCDA titled “Service Beyond Banking.”

Over 100 trainees were trained in Textile Design, Graphics Design, Smoothie Production and Make-Up as well as making of Wig, Soap and Airfreshner to commemorate the International Customer Service Week.

The Director, CENTS, Professor Festus Adeosun noted that with the enabling environment given by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Felix Kolawole Salako, more of the kind of collaborations are in the offing. Meanwhile, nine members of staff and skill leaders participated at the vocational training, some of whom were: the Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Muibat Thomas; Principal Executive Officer in charge of Marketing, Mr. Jide Olaiya and the Centre’s Marketing Officer, Mrs. Alamu Olabode.
