Various developmental indices, all revolving round academic and moral uprightness, have been cited by the freshly-admitted students of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, as motivation behind their choice of the institution.
Tolu, one of the pioneering students of the College of Management Sciences (COLMAS), put it this way, “I opted for UNAAB because they don’t go on strike. My elder brother, who graduated from UNAAB graduated on schedule”.
A Lagos-based, newly admitted Engineering student, Henrietta, said, “As for me, I chose UNAAB because they said UNAAB Students are “Efikos” (Book-worms) and as a Christian, I believe in studying hard. I like reading and since UNAAB rewards commitment to studies and that there is no back-door to excellence here, I picked UNAAB”.
A cross-section of others who spoke with UNAAB Bulletin, penultimate week attributed reasons behind their choice of UNAAB to academic excellence, zero cult activities and stable academic calendar.
