The 27th Annual Global Convention and 26th Annual Lecture Series of the FUNAAB Alumni Association continued in grand style on January 9, 2025, with a thrilling Novelty Football Match between the Alumni of the University of Ibadan (UI) and the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

Organised by the FUNAAB Alumni Association, the match was designed to foster camaraderie and balance recreational activities with professional development.

The match was a display of determination and skill as both teams battled fiercely on the field. The FUNAAB Alumni team showcased exceptional dexterity and strategic play, ultimately clinching a hard-fought 1-0 victory over their UI counterparts.

Mr. Olawale Ayeni emerged as the hero of the day, scoring the decisive goal, while Prof. Olusegun Oduwaye was lauded as the Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance.

Activities for the convention continue with a Mega Sets Reunion Fiesta and Cocktail Party scheduled for 5 p.m. today, January 10, 2025. The day would conclude with a Delegate Meeting at 7 p.m.
