The Exams and Records Unit of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has lauded Mr. Tuoyo Arueyingho, Senior Assistant Registrar, for his voluntary disengagement from the services of the University.
The commendation event took place on June 28, 2024, at the Green Chamber.
Mr. Arueyingho joined FUNAAB in January 2012 as an Administrative Officer II and rose to the position of Senior Assistant Registrar through his dedication and hard work. Throughout his career at FUNAAB, he consistently demonstrated innovation, self-sacrifice, and a commitment to excellence.
Speaking at the send-forth ceremony held in his honour, the Ag. Registrar, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu, recognised the presence of Mr. Arueyingho’s father, Dr. Ajemijoye Arueyingho, and his wife. She highlighted the rarity of such recognition in the University’s history, noting that it was reserved for deserving staff members.
She appreciated Mr. Arueyingho’s commitment, dedication, and meticulous execution of assignments, describing him as an upright person who always spoke the truth.
Mrs. Dawodu encouraged other staff members to learn from Mr. Arueyingho’s example, reminding them that their efforts were always being observed and recorded.
She, therefore, wished him and his family success in their future endeavours.
Mr. Adewale Ojoye, Deputy Registrar II in the Exams and Records Unit, expressed his admiration for Mr. Arueyingho, recounting their 12-year working relationship.
He commended Mr. Arueyingho’s productivity, honesty, and dependability, acknowledging that he had become completely reliant on him.
Mr. Ojoye regretted losing such a valuable colleague to the private sector but wished him the best in his future pursuits.
Mr. Moses Ayanda, Deputy Registrar II in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, also praised Mr. Arueyingho, describing him as hardworking, meticulous, and consistently exceeding expectations.
He prayed for continued divine favour upon him, describing him as “fearless but truthful.”
Other staff members, including Mr. Tokunbo Ayanbadejo, Mr. Olugbenga Adeniji, and Mrs. Peggy Onomroba, echoed these sentiments, commending Mr. Arueyingho’s leadership, honesty, and dedication.
In his response, Mr. Arueyingho expressed gratitude for the solid foundation FUNAAB provided him over his 12 years at the University.
He cherished the connections made and reflected on the importance of making the best of opportunities.
He acknowledged the privilege of working at FUNAAB and appreciated all the staff of the Exams and Records Unit.
The event was attended by Mr. Ebun Atinuke, Zonal Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Management; Mrs. Yemisi Olaniyi, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Exams and Records Unit; and Mr. Daniel Bolaji of the Exams and Records Unit, as well as several other Registry staff.
