The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), would today, September 18, 2025, at 12 noon, receive the Commandant of the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun Corps), Ogun State Command, Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (Rtd.), on a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde.

The visit is expected to build on an earlier engagement between the Peace and Development Studies (PDS) Programme of the Institute of Communication and General Studies (ICGNS) and the Amotekun Corps in Abeokuta. At that engagement, FUNAAB showcased its academic and professional programmes in Peace and Development Studies, which were tailored to equip security personnel with the necessary skills for peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

This latest interaction would further consolidate the partnership between the University and the Amotekun Corps, in line with FUNAAB’s commitment to advancing peace, security, and sustainable development.
