Every member of staff, irrespective of his or her cadre is important and key to the success of administration, especially in the University.
The outgone Director, Agricultural Media Resources and Extension Centre (AMREC), Professor Victor Olowe stated this amid glowing tributes showered on him for a job well done at a Send-Forth Ceremony, held in his honour at the Centre.
The incumbent Director, Professor Dorcas Adegbite, described Professor Olowe’s tenure as impactful, peaceful, and successful, adding that the former Director was able to do exploits because he performed all his task with the fear of God.
She called for commitment, support and cooperation of members of staff, while challenging them that in the discharge of their duties, would God depend on them to give their best?
In the same vein, other virtues of Professor Olowe lauded by members of staff were his accommodating, fatherly, humble, humane and supportive nature.
Rendering special prayer and admonition at the occasion, Professor Isacc Aiyelaagbe disclosed that every member of staff was accountable to God for their stewardship and must be prepared to give their best for the advancement of the system. He encouraged the immediate past Director not to relent in giving his best whenever it is required of him.
Responding, the outgone Director appreciated members of staff for the love, support and cooperation extended to him while in office, assuring the Centre that he would always be available to assist in any way possible whenever he was called upon.
