She also expressed appreciation to the University for signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Gender Responsiveness in Agricultural Research and Development (GRARD) which is to be instituted in the University.

According to her, GRARD seeks to support institutions to design research agenda that can drive sustainable and inclusive growth, by enhancing gender responsiveness within their research priorities and processes.
