The immediate past Director in the former Directorate of Grants Management of the University and Chief War Marshal of the Man O’War in FUNAAB, Prof. Kolawole Adebayo, has charged graduates to identify their desire in life and push for greatness. Prof. Adebayo made the charge at the 11th edition of a 3-day Pre-National Youth Service Corps orientation camping exercise, organised by the Man O’War Command of FUNAAB. He advised intending corps members to be time-conscious, patriotic, and law abiding citizens during, and after the one-year mandatory youth service.
The programme, which was held at the Man O’War Base in the University, was well-attended by graduate students from FUNAAB and neighbouring tertiary institutions in Ogun State. Earlier, the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Babatunde Idowu, represented by the Senior Assistant Registrar, Mr. Timothy Nyishagba, admonished participants to take every activity seriously while he wished them a successful camping. The camp featured aerobics gadgets training, similar to that of the NYSC orientation camp, lecture series, sharing of experiences from past corps members, and skills acquisition programmes.
