The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Partnerships (DRIP) has released a call for Academic Staff Training and Development Grant, which is an intervention grant, offered by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and opened for utilization by academic staff of Nigeria Higher Education Institutions in pursuit of higher degrees and bench work programme.
The release was contained in an Internal Memorandum signed by the Acting Director, DRIP, Dr. Mutiu Busari which informed that deserving teaching staff of the University are invited to compete for the 2021 Academic Staff Training and Development Grant.
It further informed that the purpose of this grant is to pursue Masters or PhD in Nigeria or any high ranking foreign institution while Bench work and Post-Doctoral Programme will be only to high ranking foreign institutions.
Applicants are also to note that the choice of university of study must be guided by the World University Ranking of Times Higher Education (THE), saying that scholars should aspire to go to countries that have universities ahead of the best university in Nigeria (based on the ranking of that year).
