A pupil of FUNAAB Staff School, Miss Hannah Adeniji has reenacted the University’s tradition of excellence and winning streak by emerging Ogun State Best Student in Public Speaking at Primary School category.
Little Miss Adeniji was the cynosure of eyes and shone like galaxy of stars as she enviably displayed her wizardry in public speaking even at a tender age to the admiration and consternation of Ogun State First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun at this year Children’s Day Celebration and 45th Anniversary of the State.
FUNAAB Family took the centre stage at June 12 Cultural Centre and the Head Teacher, Mrs. Florence Alade and her team could not hide their joy as certificate of outstanding performance and a grand prize of half plot of land was presented to Miss Adeniji as the overall Best Student in the Primary School Category.
Meanwhile, the Head Teacher, FUNAAB Staff School, Mrs. Alade Florence while expressing her joy stated that the School is grateful for this great achievement, stressing that it is a way of advertising and showcasing the school to the world.
According to her, “The school is quite proud of this great achievement. It shows we are doing really well, we are delivering, the teachers are working and the parents are not disappointed”.
She maintained that over the years FUNAAB Staff School emerged first has at various competitions while other pupils who graduated from the school have also been coming out first in their respective schools, stating that this shows they have solid foundation from the school.
Mrs. Alade however, disclosed that the School had recently qualified for the final round of the Computer Society of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter competition, stressing that they are ready for more competitions in order to showcase their pupils and to let them know they have what it takes to be the best.
She appealed to parents to continue to support the pupils with the use of internet and all they need that will help improve their studies.
The Head Teacher appreciated the University Management for always supporting them, stating that they always grant their requests by providing them with all that is needed for the development of the School.
