The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is pleased to announce the launch of compressed natural gas (CNG) powered minibuses for commercial transportation within and around the campus. This initiative, branded as the Smart Road Transport Scheme (SRT), is aimed at reducing the daily transportation costs for staff and students.

Endorsed by the University Management and the Student Union Government, SRT is a private venture designed to ease the economic hardship being faced by the university community.

Mode of Payment

The SRT operates a cashless payment system via the Cowry Card. To use the SRT buses, passengers must:

  1. Purchase the Cowry Card for N500.
  2. Activate the card at the point of purchase.
  3. Load the card with cash, which will serve as credit for transport fare payments. Where to Get the Cowry Card
