The College of Engineering (COLENG), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), would hold a Research and Leadership Seminar/Workshop Series on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The seminar, themed “Transformational Leadership in Academia: Moving from Manager to Visionary Leader,” is designed to strengthen leadership capacity and promote effective and transformative leadership within the academic environment.
The programme would focus on the evolving demands of academic leadership, with emphasis on the transition from conventional management to visionary leadership capable of inspiring innovation, institutional growth and sustainable development.
It is also expected to provide participants with insights into strategic thinking, effective communication, people-centred leadership and other essential skills for driving positive change in academic institutions.
The seminar would equally provide a platform for members of the University Community to share ideas and perspectives on building stronger and more responsive institutions through purposeful leadership.
The programme is scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m. at the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Engineering Building, FUNAAB.
Members of the University Community, particularly Academic and Administrative staff with interest in leadership development and institutional transformation, are encouraged to participate.
