The Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme and Fellows Alumni Association (COSFAN), a body of eminent Nigerians, who have benefited from commonwealth scholarship, has put in place a scholarship mentorship committee, to mentor students and staff of selected universities on how to access scholarship opportunities from foreign countries, especially the United Kingdom.

COSFAN’s objective is to promote and advance education, especially among Nigerian tertiary institutions, create awareness and act as a think-tank on different need-based development issues in Nigeria. The Dean, Student Affairs Division, Prof. Babatunde Idowu, informed that the association had resolved to give back to the society by ensuring that more Nigerians enjoy scholarship and fellowship opportunities, to study and enhance their careers in the United Kingdom.
