The Governing Council of the University has commended and presented plaque of honour and appreciation to the duo of the former Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ololade Enikuomehin and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Professor (Mrs.) Oluyemisi Eromosele for stabilizing and restoring normalcy to the system at the peak of the crisis that rocked the institution recently.
The plaque of Appreciation for meritorious service to the University was presented to the recipients by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Dr. (Barr.) Aboki Zhawa at Council Chamber penultimate Friday during Council Meeting.
The presentation was greeted with applause and goodwill messages of Council Members who extolled the virtues and sterling qualities of the honorees.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Dr. (Barr.) Zhawa had set the ball of appreciation rolling while on the verge of presenting award plaque to the recipients.
According to the Pro-Chancellor, “Despite the fact that (Professor Enikuomehin) assumed office at the peak of the crisis, you and your management team did your utmost to stabilize the system”.
Also eulogizing the recipients, Professor Clement Adeofun and Dr. Yakubu Tor-Agbidye extolled the leadership qualities of Professors Enikuomehin and Eromosele in the restoration of peace on campus.
In attendance were the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako and other Principal Officers who also double as Council members.
